Deepika- Ranveer keen to own IPL teams

Bollywood star couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh could end up buying teams in the Indian Premier League as the race to buy two new IPL teams is really hotting up, according to media reports.

Super star Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta are currently owners of Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings respectively and now it looks there are going to be more Bollywood stars entering the IPL.

 With the upcoming IPL is set to become a 10-franchise affair from 2022 after BCCI approved a proposal to add two more franchises to the most-watched and glitzy franchise T20 league Bollywood power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh showed interest to enter bidding war for new IPL team.    

A number of renowned companies along with Deepika-Ranveer couple have already picked up the ITT (Invitation to Tender) to bid for new two IPL teams and the last date to pick up the tender was October 20.   
Just couple of days ago Glazer family, owner of the English Premier League Club Manchester United shown interest in the two new IPL franchises and picked up ITT.

Among other companies Adani Group, Torrent Pharma, Aurobindo Pharma, RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, Hindustan Times Media, Jindal Steel and three private equity players also picked up ITT.
