A person was killed and six others were injured in a gas explosion at a house of Bayazid Bostami Police Station of Chattogram on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Md Faruq, 22.

The incident took place at 11:00am in the area.

Md Kamruzzaman, officer-in-charge (OC) of the police station, said on information members of police and fire service rushed to the spot and douse the flames.

The injured were taken to Chattogram Medical College and Hospital (CMCH).
