The government is going to begin administering coronavirus vaccine to school children on an experimental basis this noon.
Students aged between 12-17 years will get the vaccine at Colonel Malek Medical College in Manikganj at 12pm.
The vaccinated children will be put on observation for 10-15 days, sources at the health ministry said.
It is learnt that the government will start child vaccination in full swing across the country after assessing the side effects, if any.
Another source said that the vaccination will initially take place in 21 districts and school authorities will be involved in the registration process. Schoolchildren will be registered based on their birth certificates.
