For the first time in the history of Bangladesh, a grand event for collectors is going to be held from October 15. Collections of stamps, matchboxes, coin and banknotes, antique items and many more will be exhibited at the show.
Collecting different types of things is an amazing hobby and there are a large number of people in the world who choose collecting as their passion. In Bangladesh also, there is a number of collectors who collect different types of things and there are some organisations for collectors also.
BMCC, one of the leading collectors' organisation in the world, mainly works with matchboxes and matchbox collectors and has already earned huge appreciation for its works in previous days including organising the first international virtual exhibition on Matchbox Collection earlier this year.
BMCC president and convener of ‘Bangladesh Collectors’ Show 2021’ Shakil Huq said, “As per our knowledge, no other country has ever organised such an exhibition including all types of collectors. It’s an exhibition where you can see almost all types of collectors with their marvellous collection. We are very hopeful that it will be programme at this year of silver jubilee of Bangladesh.”
BMCC joint secretary Al-Razee Anonnya said, “We have got huge response from all parts of Bangladesh. Already we have passed the mark of 100 collectors and hopefully we'll get more exhibits till the last day of submission.”
BMCC will have PSB (Philatelic Society of Bangladesh), KCS (Khulna Collectors' Society), CCC (Chittagong Collector's Club), and SCS (Sylhet Collectors' Society) as associate partners of the exhibition.
The event will be aired at bdcs21.blogspot.com.
