BNP, Jamaat and war criminals out to politicise Munia issue

Popular News

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), its ally Jamaat and war criminals have resorted to a dirty politics over death of a college girl in Gulshan of the capital.

Mosarat Jahan Munia was found dead at a Gulshan flat on April 26 this year.

Her elder sister Nusrat Jahan Tania filed a “false” case against Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir for instigating suicide.

After a thorough investigation, police submitted Final Report to the court on July 19, saying allegation against Sayem Sobhan Anvir was not proved.

The court received the report on July 22. After hearing, the court exonerated the lone accused from the charges on August 18.

At the same time, the court dismissed the Naraji (no confidence) petition submitted by Nusrat against the police report which led to an end of the false case.

Six days into the dismissal of the case, Nusrat filed another case with the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-8 of Dhaka.

She accused Anvir, his father, mother, wife and some others of committing rape and murder of Munia.

Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), a specialised unit of law enforcement agency entrusted with the investigation into the case, is likely to submit its report to the court in the first week of November.

Although complainant Nusrat claimed to have filed the case seeking justice, she is being used by a quarter as a tool to prove lawlessness in the country and put the government in an awkward situation.

BNP, anti-liberation party Jamaat and war criminals have been working silently to pollute the situation from the outset. As part of the conspiracy, BNP-Jamaat activists, expatriate cyber criminals loyal to them and other anti-state elements took Munia issue as a hotcake. This circle is spreading propaganda against Bangladesh, Awami League government, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangabandhu and his family members. They are rejoicing character assassination and personal attack over the issue.

Sources said the main target of the conspirators is to prove that there is no rule of law in the country and malign the government. They have taken up Munia issue to implement their devil design. The cyber criminals are working to this effect.

To push Munia issue to the climax, BNP-Jamaat minded lawyers have stood beside Nusrat Jahan Tania in the legal contest. They instigated Nusrat to file suicide incitement case. They also misguided her to institute rape and murder case against Bashundhara Group Managing Director and his family members to harass corporate leaders and create a discontent among them. The lawyers extending legal supports to Nusrat are loyal to BNP leaders and war criminals.

The conspirators are trying to establish a claim that the influential people of the country are above law and malign police and other law enforcing agencies. In reality, the country’s judiciary is independent. Bangladesh has done a great deal of rule of law and human rights. Police held a marathon investigation into the death of Munia, collected CCTV footage, diary and other material evidence from the flat. Police filed Final Report to the court on the ground that allegation of suicide incitement was not proved. In fact, BNP-Jamaat men are trying to raise the allegations over Munia’s death in line with their allegations against government and law enforcers in last couple of years.

Anti-state elements led by BNP, Jamaat and war criminals have teamed up to obstruct the country’s unprecedented socioeconomic development wrought by Sheikh Hasina’s government. Therefore, the conspirators have targeted large business conglomerates. If they can harass the industrialists and corporate leaders, the country’s trade and commerce will shrink. They have adopted Munia issue to put the government in the dock and to kill two birds with one stone.
