Bangladesh Cricket Board’s game development chairman Khaled Mahmud said on Sunday that there will be no new committee of the board before ICC T20 World Cup.
Several new board directors came into the spotlight as major candidate for leading different committees of BCB following their success in the election.
“The biggest thing is maybe I will continue my role with game development for next one month. Papon said that there will be no committee before the World Cup, but if I continue my role after the World Cup, then I have to do with the requirement things,’’ Mahmud told reporters on Sunday.
‘’Maybe I'll be there, or someone else will come in my place but our work would not stop. I think I work with a great group.”
Nazmul, who became the BCB boss for the first time in 2012 and was later re-elected for the post twice, didn’t have to run in the election in 2013 and 2017 respectively as he won both the elections unopposed.
However, this time Nazmul had to run in the election after 16 aspiring candidates fought in category 2 – Dhaka Metro Club Representatives but he overcame the hurdle easily by achieving the highest number of 53 votes along with Gazi Golam Murtaza and Enayet Hossain.
The newly formed BCB Board or Directors will take charge led by Nazmul Hasan for the next four-year tenure.
