On the eve of the upcoming ‘International Mental Health Day, Right to Peace, a voluntary and research organisation, organized a workshop titled "Emotional Intelligence: Unlock Your Potentials."
The workshop held on October 6, was conducted by an experienced Psychologist and Counselor Hura Jannat, who highlighted on the practical application of emotional intelligence.
Psychologist Hura Jannat mentioned that skilled young people besides a healthy body need a healthy mind for success. Emotions and reasoning coexist in the human mind. Uncontrolled emotion is not conducive to a healthy mind.
There is no substitute for the application of emotional intelligence to fully utilize the expression of emotion and intense reasoning for proper self-control and self-development, she added.
In his concluding remarks, Mohammad Main Uddin, honorary patron of Right to Peace and Assist Profof Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) emphasised on overcoming the challenges that youths are facing to use their emotions in a positive way.
Right to Peace volunteer Samia Monjori Sazeen moderated the workshop. Dhaka University Research Society (DURS) and Dhaka University Writers’ Hub (DUWH) were the promotional partners of this event.
The President of Right to Peace Md. Zarif Rahman, Vice President Saneequdrat Saqee, General Secretary Tausif Islam Sanjid, head of workshop and training wing SM Monjurul Morshed Moon along with other volunteers of Right to Peace were present in the workshop.
