Bangladesh national football team began their preparation at Henveiru Stadium in Male, Maldives on Wednesday ahead of the upcoming SAFF Championship, starting next month.
Midfielder Sohel Rana didn’t attend the first-day practice session due to fever and he is currently under medical observation.
“We have boosted up players with confidence, motivation in the first part of this session. After working on several drills, we spent a lot of time on scoring and finishing,” said assistant coach Mahabub Hossain Roksy after the day’s session.
National defender Tariq Kazi believed that the team had already adjusted to their new coach’s plan and they were concentrating on their first match against Sri Lanka on Friday.
“Weather is very nice here and we are eagerly waiting to play our first match against Sri Lanka. Players are very motivated and we have adjusted to Oscar’s (Bruzon) new plan,” he said.
The team earlier reached Male on Tuesday evening and started training after testing negative for Covid-19.
The men in red and green will wear their new jerseys in the SAFF Championship as their home jersey was designed by Subrata Das and the away jersey was by Swapan Ahmed.
