Low pressure over Bay of Bengal, rain may continue

After Cyclone Gulab, another low pressure has occurred in the Bay of Bengal.

Meanwhile, the capital witnessed rain in the early morning today.

Since then the country is experiencing high temperature with cloudy sky. Bangladesh Meteorological Department(BMD) said the monsoon wind is active over the country. Due to the wind, country is experiencing rain and it may continue for two more days.

A low pressure was created over Bay on September 24 and it turned to low pressure, depression and at last Cyclone ‘Gulab’.

Cycloe Gulab turned into depression after crossing coastal areas of North Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha in India on Monday midnight.

According to weather bulletin in the 24 hours starting from 9am, a light to moderate rain with gusty wind and thunderstorm may occur over different parts of Khulna, Barishal, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, the Met office said.

On the other hand, heavy to very heavy rain may occur in the southern parts of the country.

The Met office forecast that day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain persist. Rain may control by three days.
