Bangladesh recorded 25 more Covid-related deaths with 818 new cases in 24 hours till Saturday morning, said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The new cases were detected after testing 17,818 samples which lead the daily case positivity rate to 4.59 per cent, said the DGHS on Saturday afternoon.

The official tally showed the virus killed 27,393 people and infected 15,50,371 so far in the country, it added.

The DGHS statistics showed of the people infected from the beginning 97.40 percent recovered, while 1.77 percent died.
