Covid-19: Pfizer vaccine roll-out begins at 7 centres in capital

Pfizer vaccination for Covid-19 began at seven centres in the capital on Thursday.

Initially, the vaccine is being given to foreigners as well as others.

Dr Shamsul Haque, director of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), confirmed the information.

The vaccination centres are: Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital, Kurmitola General Hospital, Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital, Mitford Medical College Hospital, and Mugda Medical College and Hospital.

“Pfizer vaccination will no longer be a problem now as 20 lakh more doses of its vaccine will arrive in the country within a week,” Shamsul Haque said.

“Apart from Pfizer vaccine, Sinopharm vaccination will also be carried out on a large scale across the country,” he said.
