Bangladesh Cricket Board official said on Thursday that they are waiting for medical guidelines from ICC and Oman in order to prepare their bio-bubble plan ahead of the ICCWorldT20, scheduled next month in UAE.
Bangladesh is expected to depart for Oman on October 3 to have a preparation camp ahead of the global tournament while they are expected to play three practice games as part of their preparation. BCB will have to bear all the expenses for the Oman trip and afterwards they will enter the bio-bubble for the ICC WorldT20.
“Hopefully in a day or two we will get the ICC medical plan( as well as the medical plan of Oman) and thereafter we will make our bio-bubble plan,’’ he said. Debashish added that everyone needs to be vaccinated before departing for Oman while he added that he is not expecting to have a six-day mandatory quarantine before the ICCWT20 as they will be entering one bubble to another.”
“Everyone should be vaccinated before leaving and we will have to complete a 24-hour quarantine (in Oman),’’ said Debashish.
There is a mandatory six-day quarantine in place before entering the World Cup but as we will entering from one bubble to another we will have to see where we stand in this regard,’’ he added.
