Another dead dolphin washed up on Kuakata beach

Another dead dolphin has been washed up on Kuakata sea beach of Patuakhali on Thursday mooring.

Fishermen spotted the body of the dolphin on the beach at Tetrishkani Poin this mooring. Later they informed it to the members of the Kuakata Dolphin Protection Committee.

Members of Kuakata Dolphin Protection Committee said, the dolphin, about 5 feet long, had injury marks on its mouth but the exact cause of death of the dolphins could not be ascertained.

Ruman Imtiaz Tushar, team leader of the Dolphin Protection Committee, said with this, a total of 21 dead dolphins washed ashore the beach this year.

Meanwhile, environmentalists have expressed concern as the bodies of 14 dolphins have been found floating on the beach in just a few days.
