Bangladesh suffer heavy defeat

Bangladesh national women’s team conceded a massive 0-5 defeat against Jordan in their first match of Group G of AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers at Bunyodkor Stadium in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on Sunday.

Jordan captain Maysa Ziad Jbarah scored in the 62nd, 67th and 77th minutes to complete her hat-trick after Shahnaz Jebreen and Bana Zaid Al Bitar scored one each in the 35th and 45th minute respectively to put their side top in the three-team group.

Jordan dominated over Bangladesh in both halves through their better ball possession and attacking football. Bangladesh team also failed to put them under any pressure in the game and finished the match on the losing side.

Bangladesh will play their last match against Iran on September 22 while Iran will meet Jordan in the last group match on September 25, both at the same venue.
