Evaly Chairman Shamima Nasrin and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mohammad Russel were arrested in a raid on their residence in Mohammadpur area of the capital on Thursday.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel conducted the raid around 4:00pm and arrested them on a fraud charge, said Commander Khandakar Al Moin, a spokesperson for the elite force.
The plaintiff alleged that Evaly has taken huge money from customers in e-commerce business, but did not deliver products to them.
