Bangladesh women’s football team will be back in action on Thursday as they will play their first FIFA friendly match after a long gap of 29 months against Nepal at Dasharath Rangasala Stadium in Kathmandu.
The women’s team last played an international match back in March 2019 during the SAFF Women’s Championship and since then they didn’t play any international match.
However, Bangladesh women’s team head coach Golam Rabbani Choton was confident that his charges will be able to win the match to mark their comeback in international football.
“Players have been playing together for a long time. They have a good understanding. If they keep continuing it, we will definitely get good results,” said Choton in a pre-match presser on Wednesday.
Captain Sabina Khatun echoed the same sentiment of her coach.
“We have been working hard for the last several months. Now, it is time to get some good results,” said Sabina.
Bangladesh women’s team couldn’t do training on Wednesday due to bad weather but they completed conditioning and swimming sessions at the team hotel in the morning.
Bangladesh are scheduled to play another FIFA friendly match against the same team on September 12 at the same venue.
