Two people were killed and a pedestrian was injured after a covered van hit another covered van in Kamaldah area in Mirsarai upazila of Chattogram in Wednesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Atiyar, 50, and Faridul Islam, 28.

The covered van hit another covered van from behind on Chattogram-Dhaka highway at 8:30am, leaving the duo dead on the spot and the pedestrian injured.

The injured were taken to Chattogram Medical College and Hospital (CMCH).
