Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan returns to national contract as Bangladesh Cricket Board announced 24-member central contract for year 2021 on Wednesday.
Shakib was excluded from the previous contract due to his ban.
BCB introduced a new format-wise contract system as they opted for contract in Test, ODI’s and T20’s while earlier they had white-ball and red ball contract.
Apart from the pace duo, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib al Hasan and Liton Kumar Das also part of the contract in all three categories.
Batsman Mohammad Mithun and off-spinner Nayeem Hasan are excluded from the contract list though they were part in 17-member contract list of 2020.
Notable absentees from the contract list are Mosaddek Hossain, Rubel Hossain and Aminul Islam.
Tamim Iqbal, who decided to withdraw him from the upcoming ICC World T20 and Mahmudullah, who had announced his Test retirement that is yet to be approved by the board are not included in the T20 and Test format respectively.
