Hasan Azizul Huq, a renowned fiction writer who had been sick for almost a month, was taken to Dhaka from Rajshahi on Saturday.
The noted litterateur has been admitted to National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD).
He will be treated under the supervision of Dr Nazrul Islam of NICVD.
Earlier, he was taken to Dhaka from Rajshahi by a helicopter for better treatment.
An air ambulance carrying Hasan Azizul Huq left Shah Makhdum Airport around 10.30am for Dhaka.
The 82-year old litterateur has been suffering from different old-age complications.
On August 18, Hasan Azizul Huq’s son, RU biochemistry and molecular sciences department associate professor Imtiaz Hasan, shared the news of his father’s illness in a Facebook post.
