An another dead dolphin named ‘Irabati’ has been washed up on Kuakata sea beach under Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali .

On Friday (August 20) morning, local fishermen spotted the body of the dolphin on the beach adjacent to the last point of Gangamati, 9 km east of Kuakata Zero Point. The fishermen later informed the members of the Kuakata Dolphin Protection Committee.

Kuakata Dolphin Protection Committee member KM Bachchu said the dolphin was washed away by the tide on the beach, which is about 8 feet.

Apu Saha, fisheries and livestock official of Kalapara upazila, said the exact cause of death of the dolphins could not be ascertained.
