An assistant tax commissioner of National Board of Revenue (NBR) died from Covid-19 infection at a hospital in the capital on Tuesday night.

The deceased, Salah Uddin Ahmed, breathed his last at a private hospital at around 10:25pm, said a press release issued by NBR.

Salah Uddin, a member of the 27th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS), left behind his wife and 9 years old son.
