The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have sought a 5-day remand for actor Pori Moni and producer Nazrul Islam Raj in a case filed under the Narcotics Control Act.

The remand prayer was to a Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court (CMM), Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon, after completion of their 4-day remand.

Deputy Commissioner (Prosecution) Zafar Hossain confirmed the matter to media.

Earlier on Wednesday, Pori Moni was detained from her Banani residence and seized a large number of drugs following a raid and later in the evening, Raj Multimedia Proprietor Nazrul Islam Raj was also detained from his house on the basis of information given by Pori Moni.
