Memorial meeting held on the 51st death anniversary of Maharaja Trailokyanath Chakraborty

A memorial meeting has been held in Kishoreganj’s Kuliarchar on the 51st death anniversary of anti-British revolutionary Maharaja Trailokyanath Chakraborty on Monday afternoon.

Deepshikha Granthagar Andolan arranged the programme at the house of Maharaja Trailokyanath Chakraborty at Kapasatia village in Osmanpur union of Kuliarchar upazila on the day.

Library organiser and prominent politician Abdur Rahman Rumi, UP member Haris Uddin, teacher Aman Ullah, student leader Hasan Tarek Bappi and Sakibul Hasan Sohag spoke in the function presided by Deepshikha Granthagar Andolan Coordinator Badrul Alam Naeem.

The speakers demanded to preserve the house of Maharaja Trailokyanath Chakraborty in order to inspire the new generation from his life and works.

Maharaja Trailokyanath Chakraborty’s bodyguard Nidhan Chandra Biswas, Azizur Rahman, Mostafizur Rahman Bhuiyan Rafim, Abul Kalam and Jhutan Biswas, among others, were present in the meeting.

A portion of the biography-based book ‘Maharaja of Bengal Trailokyanath Chakraborty’ written by researcher Faisal Ahmed biography was read in the commemoration meeting.
