Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji has caught her flight out of the country to start shooting her much-awaited drama 'Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway'.
Said to be an untold story about an Indian's mother’s battle against an entire country, the movie will be directed by Ashima Chibber, of 'Mere Dad Ki Maruti' fame.
Rani's role in 'Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway' is said to be a complete author-backed role.
"Rani will be out of the country for over a month for this shoot. She has been waiting to start this project which is extremely close to her heart," the source adds.
The actress, who announced the film early this year, said in a statement, “I started my career with ‘Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat’, which was a woman-centric film, and coincidentally in my 25th year, I’m announcing a film that is also centered around a woman’s resolve to fight against all odds and take on a country," she added, TOI reported.
According to reports, it is said to be based on the story of two kids who were taken away from them by the Norway welfare services alleging extreme parental neglect. After intervention by the Indian Government, the kids were sent back to India from the foster homes to their paternal uncle.
