At least twenty three people died while undergoing treatment at the Covid-19 unit of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) in the last 24 hours.

Among the dead, seven people died from coronavirus infections while sixteen died with Covid-19 like symptoms.

The MMCH’s corona unit spokesman Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon confirmed the matter.

As many as 535 Covid-19 patients are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital, he said.

In the past 24 hours, some 62 people have been admitted to the hospital with Covid-19 symptoms, he added.

Beside, District Civil Surgeon's Office sources said 495 fresh Covid-19 cases detected among 1617 sample tests in the last 24 hours.
