At least twenty one people died while undergoing treatment at the Covid-19 unit of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) in the last 24 hours.

Among the dead, nine people died from coronavirus infections while twelve died with Covid-19 like symptoms.

The MMCH’s corona unit spokesman Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon confirmed the matter.

As many as 528 Covid-19 patients are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital, he said.

In the past 24 hours, some 94 people have been admitted to the hospital with Covid-19 symptoms, he added.

Beside, District Civil Surgeon's Office sources said 322 fresh Covid-19 cases detected among 1136 sample tests in the last 24 hours, yielding the virus positivity rate of 27.46 percent.
