BFF proposes Nepal host women friendlies

Bangladesh Football Federation has proposed that All Nepal Football Association should host the women’s national teams’ friendly matches in September ahead of Women's Asian Cup 2022 Qualifiers.

Bangladesh national women’s team last played in SAFF Women’s Championship in March 2019 and they were drawn in Group G along with Jordan and Iran for the Women's Asian Cup 2022 Qualifiers, scheduled to be held from September 13 to 25

“We have been planning to play a series or some friendly matches in September in Nepal since April. ANFA president earlier verbally invited us. Now we officially wrote our interests to them. They are yet to reply,” BFF Women’s Wing Chairman Mahfuza Akter Kiron told The Daily Sun.

“We can’t host any tournaments at present here. The current Covid-19 situation and the shortage of venues are the main reasons,” she added.
