Narayanganj-4 MP AKM Shamim Osman visited the house of Narayanganj City Corporation Mayor Dr Selina Hayat Ivy and consoled her as her mother Mamtaz Begum passed away on Sunday. He spent some time there comforting Ivy.
Shamim Osman went to Ivy’s Deobhog’s house Chunka Kutir around 4:45pm on Tuesday.
Entering Ivy’s house, Shamim Osman consoled her two brothers Ahmed Ali Reza Ujjal and Ali Reza Ripon. He prayed that Almighty Allah would give them the patience to endure this grief.
Sitting next to Ivy, Shamim Osman said, “Aunt was a very good human being and a pious woman. We have to pray for her and walk in such a way that her soul finds peace.”
“I am also an orphan. I understand how difficult it is to be an orphan at any age,” he added.
During that time, Shamim Osman recalled his fond memories with Mamtaz Begum and said, “I wanted to come here earlier but I couldn’t come as my wife is seriously ill.”
At that time, Mayor Ivy thanked Shamim Osman and invited him to join a Milad Mahfil next Saturday after Asr prayers at their mosque.
