On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, the holy religious festival of Muslims, the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi organized Eid-ul-Azha at Bangabandhu Hall of the Embassy on Wednesday night.
High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India Muhammad Imran exchanged Eid greetings and good wishes with the embassy officials and all the staff and family members.
The message sent by President Md. Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was read out during the Eid. Deputy High Commissioner of the Embassy read out the President’s speech and Minister (Press) Shaban Mahmood read out the Prime Minister’s speech.
High Commissioner Muhammad Imran wished welfare and prosperity to the people in his speech.
He said the purpose of all those working in the embassy is that Bangladesh is our soul no matter where we are in the world. “We have to work from our respective places to implement the vision of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.”
Addressing the officials and staff of the embassy, the High Commissioner said that your children should be present at all the national functions of the embassy. In this way they will be able to know about the history and tradition of Bangabandhu, the great hero of Bangladesh’s independence.
