Twenty two people died at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital's (MMCH) Covid-19 unit in 24 hours till this morning, which is the highest single-day toll at the hospital.

Among the dead, seven people died from coronavirus infections while fifteen died with Covid-19 like symptoms.

The MMCH’s corona unit spokesman Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon confirmed the matter.

As many as 392 Covid-19 patients are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital, he said.

In the past 24 hours, some 55 people have been admitted to the hospital with Covid-19 symptoms, he added.

Beside, District Civil Surgeon's Office sources said some 942 out of 201 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
