Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen had a meeting with his Kuwait counterpart Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah on the sidelines of International Conference titled “Central and South Asia: Regional connectivity, Challenges and opportunities” in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Ministers of both countries during their meeting on July 16 expressed their happiness at the level of existing bilateral cooperation between Bangladesh and Kuwait.
He also seek Bangladesh’s assistance and cooperation in strengthening health institutions, food security, education, IT and cyber security of both the brotherly countries.
Bangladesh Foreign Minister expressed his direness to continue peacekeeping troops, to establish a Forum of South-South Finance Development, to recruit more Bangladesh skilled workers and create more favorable environment for Bangladesh businesspersons in Kuwait.
Momen also proposed to assist Bangladesh under Kuwait Development fund.
Momen expressed his gratitude to Kuwait Government for supporting resolution on Human Right Commission to repatriate Rohinga to Myanmar.
