Launch operation began on July 15 (Thursday) following relaxation of nationwide strict lockdown in the country on condition of health guidelines.  

However, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) has restricted carrying motorbikes on passenger launch during Eid journey.

BIWATA public relations officer Md Mizanur Rahman came up with this information, says media report.

Sources said the decision has been taken in order to facilitate the journey of homebound people by launches during this Eid-ul-Azha.
