Bangladesh Railway will resume train services at half capacity from 15 July amid the surge in Covid-19 infection and deaths.
Confirming the matter to journalist, Railway Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujon said online tickets will be available from tomorrow."But all the ticket counters will remain closed, and trains will carry only half passengers of its capacity", said the minister.
The government took the decision on Monday ahead of the celebration of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha on July 21 in the country.
Mentionable, ongoing strict lockdown of the country has been relaxed from 15 July to 22 July.
