Khulna division on Monday reported record 48 deaths from Coronavirus and 1,642 new cases in the last 24 hours.

Rasheda Sultana, Director of Divisional Health Directorate, confirmed the news.

Of the deceased, thirteen are from Khulna, twelve from Jashore, nine from Kushtia, six from Jhenaidah , three from Chuadanga, two from Bagerhat and one each from Narail, Magura and Satkhira.

Khulna reported its first Coronavirus case on March 19 last year.
