Bashundhara Group, the country’s leading business conglomerate, distributed relief materials among poor and helpless people in Dinajpur on Saturday as part of its corporate social responsibility to reduce sufferings of the destitute amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Kaler Kantho, a reputed Bengali national daily of Bashundhara Group, organised the relief distribution programme through its social organisation Shuvasangha.
Whip of the national parliament Iqbalur Rahim was present at the relief distribution function of Shuvasangha at Dinajpur Government College ground on Saturday.
While talking in the event, the MP of Dinajpur-3 constituency thanked Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan for standing by the helpless people of Dinajpur.
“Bashundhara Group has provided food aid to the needy people in Dinajpur. I would like to thank Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan as he has extended his hand to the helpless people. We wish him well,” he said.
He also thanked Kaler Kantho Editor Imdadul Haq Milan for taking this great initiative and members of Shuvasangha for their tireless work in the face of the corona epidemic.
Urging all industrial groups to follow the footstep of Bashundhara Group, Iqbalur Rahim said it will be easy to provide food for all the helpless people of the country if all the well-of people stand by them.
