Army provide free medical services for needy at Joypurhat

Bangladesh Army has distributed free medical services, medicines and relief to the helpless, poor and marginalized people in Khetlal and Kalai upazilas of Joypurhat on Saturday.

The medical camps held at Kalai and Khetlal upazilas of Joypurhat were conducted by 21 field ambulances under the overall management of 39 BIR units of 11 Infantry Division.

Brigadier General M Khair Uddin, Brigade Commander of 111 Infantry Brigade was present. The medical team was led by Lieutenant Colonel Tahmina Akter, Commander of 21 Field Ambulance.

Medical services were provided to 250 people in the two army medical camps. Besides, free medicines and other health protection items including masks were also distributed among them.

In addition to medical services, relief supplies were distributed by the army to a number of helpless and distressed people. These relief items included rice, flour, oil, sugar and other daily necessities.

UNOs of the upazila, health officials, members of the law enforcement agencies and other local civilian officials were also present at the medical camps.
