Covid-19 continues its onslaught across the world even with mass inoculations underway. In fact, the global corona caseload is fast approaching the 182-million mark.
The total caseload and fatalities stand at 181,750,422 and 3,936,629, respectively, as of Wednesday morning, according to Johns Hopkins University (JHU).
The US, which is the world's worst-hit country in terms of both cases and deaths, has so far logged 33,651,870 cases, according to JHU.
Besides, 604,457 people have lost their lives in the US to date.
Brazil registered 1,893 more deaths from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the national death toll to 515,985, the health ministry said Tuesday.
A total of 64,903 new infections were detected during the period, raising the total caseload to 18,513,305, the ministry said.
India's Covid-19 tally rose to 30,316,897 on Tuesday, after 37,566 new infections were recorded in the past 24 hours, according to the federal health ministry.
