The 100th founding anniversary of country's premier University of Dhaka (DU) will be celebrated through symbolic programmes.
Due to the deteriorating situation of Covid-19, university authorities decided not to hold any kind of programme in-person, said a release on Tuesday.As part of symbolic programmes, a virtual discussion will be held marking university's 100th founding anniversary on July 1 at 4:00 pm, with Vice Chancellor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman in the chair.
Language Movement hero and Columnist Abdul Gaffar Choudhury will present the key note speech on 'Centenary of Dhaka University: Looking Back' as chief guest in the discussion.
Major programmes marking the centenary of the university will be held on November 1, with amid enthusiasms and festivity, read the release.
