A fire broke out at a jhut godown in Konabari’s Ambagh area of Gazipur city on Sunday morning.

Quoting locals, Abdul Hamid, Deputy Assistant Director of Joydabepur Fire Service said, the fire originated at a warehouse around 7:00am and quickly spread to 10 other warehouses.

On information, four fire-fighting units from Joydebpur and Kashimpur DBL fire services rushed to the spot to douse the fire.

The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
