Women’s Football League Second-leg: Kings face Saddapuskuruni Sunday

Reigning champions Bashundhara Kings will take on bottom-placed Saddapuskuruni Jubo Sporting Club in their first match of the ongoing Women’s Football League second-leg at the Birshrestha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur at 11:00am Sunday.

Kings have been leading the 8-team points table with 21 points and maintained the all-win record while Saddapuskuruni are yet to open their account.

The league leaders beat Saddapuskuruni by 14-1 goals in their first leg match.

In the day’s other match, Kachijhuli Sporting Club will face Nasrin Sports Academy at the same venue at 3:00pm.

Nasrin SA are third with 10 points from 3 wins, one draw and 3 defeats while Kachijhuli SC are sixth with 8 points from 2 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats.

Earlier, the player registration for the second phase was held from June 10 to 16. Five teams registered new players into their squads. Jamalpur Kacharipara Ekados, Comilla United, Nasrin SA registered 8 players each while FC Brahmanbaria 6 and Saddapuskuruni 2.

Kings and Ataur Rahman Bhuyan College Sporting Club made no changes to their squads.
