Eighteen more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours until 8 am on Thursday in Khulna division. This is the highest death in a day in Khulna division so far, a top health official said.

Besides, 725 more tested positive for the virus, raising the number of total cases to 42,611.

Rasheda Sultana, Director of the Divisional Health Directorate, confirmed the matter to media.

Of the deceased, four from Khulna and Kushtia districts each, three are from Jashore, two each from Chuadanga and Meherpur, one each from Bagerhat, Magura and Jhenaidah, she said.
