Covid-19: Natore sees four deaths, 61 infection in 24 hours

Some four more people died of Covid-19 in Natore in the last 24 hours, says media report.

At the same time, some 61 out of 100 people were tested postive for coronavirus.

Confirming the matter, Civil Surgeon of Natore Mizanur Rahman said a total of 38 people died in the district. The infection rate is now 60.39percent.

In the last 24 hours, some 61 people were diagnosed with Covid-19. Of them, 22 are from Natore sadar, 11 from Singra, five from Lalpur, four from Baraigram, 12 from Gurudaspur and seven from Bagatipara, he said.

Meanwhile, the lockdown in Natore has been exented for another week till June 22 in order to check the spread of Covid-19 infecttion.

Natore Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shahriaz made the announcement at a meeting of Covid-19 protection committee on Tuesday.

Earlier on June 9, a week-long lockdown was imposed in Natore and Singra municipality areas to contain the spread of Covid-19.
