A man was killed and three others were injured after a private car hit a pick-up van in capital’s Banani early hours of Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Jalil Molla, 40, hailing from Gazipur.

Pedestrian Sajedul Islam said the speedy private car hit the pick-up van from behind in Banani Nevy Headquarters, leaving 4, including the van driver injured.

Later, the injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where duty doctor declared the van drive Jalil dead.

Inspector Bachchu Mia, also in-charge of DMCH Police Outpost, said that the body has been kept at the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
