Ministry of Youth and Sports Secretary Akhter Hossain has been promoted as Senior Secretary.

Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday. 

Akhter Hossain joined as the Secretary of the Ministry on September 16, 2019. Earlier, he served as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Housing and Public Works.

He completed his BSc (Hons) in Social Sciences from Dhaka University in 1983 and Masters Degree in Sociology in 1984.

Akhtar Hossain joined the BCS administration cadre in 1988.
