GM Niaz loses in the final round

Bangladesh grandmaster Niaz Murshed suffered his first defeat in the Asian Continental Individual Hybrid Chess Championship 2021 after losing to Iranian GM and former world junior champion Madhsoodloo Parham in the ninth and final round game on Saturday.
IM Mohammad Farhad Rahman, however, beat Indonesian GM Novendra Priasmoro and FM Subrota Biswas beat Marticio Jeremy of Philippines in their respective final round matches.
GM Enamul Hossain Razib played a draw with Batchuluun Tsegmed of Mongolia while IM Abu Sufian Shakil conceded a defeat against IM Ali Muhammad Lutfi of Indonesia.
IM Farhad finished 24th, highest among Bangladeshi participants while GM Niaz finished 25th, GM Razib 27th, FM Subrota 40th and IM Shakil 56th in the meet.
