Bangladesh logged 31 more Covid-19 deaths in the last 24 hours till Friday 8:00am, taking the country's death toll 12,511.

However, the fatality rate remained unchanged at 1.57%, according to the data provided by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Meanwhile, 1,358 more people were infected with Covid-19 in the period, which took the case count to 7,96,343.

The country's maiden cases were reported on March 8 last year and the first death from the virus was reported on 18 March.
