Advocate Ziad Al Malum, senior prosecutor of International Criminal Tribunal (ICT) has been placed on life support at Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in the capital.

Rezia Sultana Chaman, another prosecutor of the ICT, confirmed the matter.

She said the 67-year-old Supreme Court lawyer was admitted to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the hospital after suffering a heart attack on May 25. Later, he was given life support as his condition deteriorated.

Rezia also said the lawyer’s family urged the countrymen to pray for his quick recovery.
