Bangladesh national football team will play a practice match against Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Ltd on Thursday ahead of their Qatar tour for FIFA, AFC joint qualifiers.
The closed-door match will take place at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Bangladesh are expected to fly to Qatar at 11:00am on May 28 where they will play three qualifying matches against Afghanistan, India and Oman on June 3, 7 and 15 respectively.
While Bangladesh are completing their preparation with a practice match against a local team, their opponents are playing against other national teams to give the final touch in their preparations.
Afghanistan played against Indonesia on Tuesday and will take on Singapore on Saturday while Oman played against Thailand on Tuesday and will meet Indonesia on Saturday and India will meet Philippines on Friday before their Group matches.
“Though they (joint qualifiers opponents) are in a better position than us, we will try to earn some points against them,” said defender Rahmat Mia after Wednesday’s training session.
