The district administration has announced a seven-day lockdown in Chapainawabganj as the coronavirus infection has increased in the district at alarming rate.

The lockdown will be come in affect from Tuesday.

A total of 59 people were found infected with Covid-19 in the district after testing 95 samples in the last 24 hours, sources.

The Covid-19 infection rate in this border district is 55 percent.
