Bangladeshi woman sustains bullet injury during anti-Israel protest in Lebanon

A female Bangladeshi migrant worker sustained bullet injury in Lebanon during a commotion among Palestinians over the Israeli aggression on Sunday.

Injured Kulsum Begum, 41, daughter of Suruj Miah of Charsundar village under Palash upazila of Narsingdi, is now undergoing treatment at Rafik Hariri University Hospital in Beirut.

While talking with about the incident, Kulsum said she was returning to her room after working at her employer's house on the night of May 16. When she reached Harbor Bakery, adjacent to Sidon district in Lebanon, protesters fired from a procession organised by Palestinians in protest of Israeli aggression, leaving her and a few Lebanese people injured.

 Later, local Red Cross members rescued her and sent her to a local hospital from where she was shifted to Rafik Hariri University Hospital as her condition deteriorated, she said.
